Carpool Lane Reminders
Please help us keep children (& adults) safe by abiding by the following procedures:
ARRIVAL
Parent drop-off begins at 7:00 a.m.
Curbside only drop off, please!
No left turns into the school driveway between 7:15 – 8:00 a.m.
Be in the carpool line by 7:30 a.m. to ensure a timely arrival
Stay in line – Please do NOT pull in between buses to drop off!
Stay in the curbside lane (unless directed to pull around by a staff member)
Please pull down as far as possible so multiple cars can unload at once. This moves traffic faster for everyone.
Students are tardy at 7:45. Instruction begins at 7:55. A parent/guardian (adult) MUST sign in late arrivals.
DISMISSAL
The instructional day ends at 2:20. Please help protect the teaching & learning time by minimizing early check-out requests after 1:45. Early check-outs are monitored.
Display carpool number hanger
Please do NOT block the school driveway. Pull as far to the right as possible to allow other cars to enter for After Care or meetings.
Please do not block driveways on Oak Grove Road
Stay in line
Please pull down as far as possible as this allows loading of multiple cars at once and keeps traffic moving faster.
Load from curbside only
Please ensure children understand the importance of wearing a seatbelt & that they know how to fasten a seatbelt.
Please ensure your child knows his/her carpool number and exits the building quickly when his/her number is called. This keeps the carpool lane fluid.
Please remind babysitters/nannies to put away cellphones once the carpool lane is moving. While we understand “passing the time” while waiting in the carpool lane, there have been a few “close calls” in the afternoon due to distracted drivers. This a reminder to some of our parents as well… Your children watch and learn from your example.
The order in which children are dismissed: Walkers, buses, nursery buses, carpool. These procedures will be enforced.
Thank you for your cooperation. Safety is the responsibility of everyone.
